Analytical Mechanics is a second-year, second-semester course.
The overall goal of this course is to study the principles and methods of analytical mechanics for undergraduate students in Astronomy & Astrophysics who have acquired a good preparation in physics and mathematics.
Emphasis is placed on the mathematical description of systems with an finite number of degrees of freedom, with a theoretical-oriented approach that will allow a better understanding of relativity and quantum mechanics.
The textbook is made available to students as a free download. A paper-version of the book can also be purchased through the editor.
